The Application/Software Architect (Level 3) (Powerhouse/Interbase/Compliance) must perform, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

a)	Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, for the Legacy OMS to meet the business and application requirements.
b)	Performing requirement gathering sessions with users, and translating the requirements into system specifications.
c)	Prepare work estimates.
d)	Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology. 
e)	Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows. 
f)	Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content, structure, and application sub-systems, and develop data dictionary. 
g)	Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application sub-systems, to external systems and between new and existing systems. 
h)	Identify and document system specific standards relating to programming, documentation and testing, covering program libraries, data dictionaries, naming conventions. 
i)	Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology. 
j)	Participate in and/or leading Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
k)	Identify the policies and requirements that would determine the flow for a particular solution.
l)	Performing system analysis, designing, data modeling, developing, testing and writing of user and technical documentation.
m)	Making changes to the Legacy Application;
	i)	Programming application software using Powerhouse.
	ii)	Programming application software using Interbase.
n)	Reading Powerhouse code to extract Business Rules.
o)	Reading Interbase DDL code to extract Business Rules.

Scope of work:
-Produce technical documentation and work with the Informatics Manager and team.  Techical writer must have the following:
-Experience writing technical documentation including:
User requirements;
Functional specifications
Test cases
Configuration management
-Demonstrated adaptability, professionalism, and good written and oral communication skills
-Excellent grammar and spelling
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
-Ability to produce text and graphic layouts
-Ability to prepare information for both technical and non-technical people
-Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
-Ability to lead peer reviewsand walkthroughs with technical architects and update documentation accordingly

In order accomplish this, the individual must become familiar with the environment and:
-Review existing documentation and familiarize oneself thoroughly with the existing Business Solution
