Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a System Analyst for a 1 year contract position. With two additional 1 year optional extension periods.

All candidates must possess Reliability Clearance.

The Contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of work:

•Become familiar with the applications, software, and databases supporting current and future OEE housing programs (HOT2000, HOT3000, Compliance Module, Reporting Module requirements, and supporting databases).
•Develop requirements, feasibility, cost, design and specification documents for systems.
•Translate business requirements of current and future needs into systems design and specifications;
•Analyze and recommend alternatives and options for solutions;
•Develop technical specifications for systems development, design and implementation;
•Develop, implement, test, maintain and document database, web based, and standalone solutions;
•Develop and implement an improved testing systems for the aforementioned software, applications and databases including both automated and manual testing components (if required) and test cases (if required).
•Modify the design and implementation of the testing system as necessary to reflect deficiencies discovered while implementing the improved testing system.
•Provide support for the above tools, programs and systems.

-The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience in software development life-cycle. - The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience developing requirements, feasibility, design and specification documents for software or database systems. - The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience developing technical specifications for software or database systems development, design and implementation. - The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience in translating business requirements into software or database systems design and specification. - The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience analyzing and recommending alternatives and options for solutions - The proposed resource has a minimum of three (3) years experience in methodology-based testing and developing software and database testing plans, procedures, and scripts including automated testing systems - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) web based projects developed - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using SQL - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using Java. - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using Visual C++. - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using .NET - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using XML - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using HTML - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using CSS - The proposed resource has developed a minimum of three (3) projects developing using Oracle 9 or later
