Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking an Application/Software Architect (Remedy) for a 2 year contract position with 1 year optional contract extension.

All candidates must possess reliability clearance.

Bilingualism is considered an asset.

The Application / Software Architect must provide:
-Level of effort and time estimates. The level of effort and time estimates must be submitted via email using a template that will be provided;
-Written comments. Written comments must be submitted in writing by email or inserted directly into the DEAIS business requirements and DEAIS functional specifications documents with regards to the clarity and validity of the processes and functions that are defined in the documents;
-Fully developed, configured, and tested system releases;
-Maintenance activities report as requested. This report must be submitted in writing via email;
-Impact analysis document. This document must include the detailed description of the newly requested enhancements, analysis of technical changes, impact of changes on current application, and documentation, level of effort and recommendations;
-Problem analysis report. This document must include detailed analysis of technical issues and recommendations as requested;
-Migration plans for the installation of an approved system upgrades as and when requested;
-Application performance report of assigned systems. The format must be Microsoft Office Suite e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook email;
-Applications and infrastructure security review document. This document must include an overview of identified security vulnerabilities, a list of DEAIS applications at risk and provide solutions to correct the issues;
-Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Written draft and final SOP(s) for application day-to-day support tasks detailing step-by-step instructions;
-Lesson learned document as requested. The format must be Microsoft Office Suite e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook email;
-Written meeting minutes. Written meeting minutes must be submitted via email as requested. A template will be provided by the Technical Authority; and
-Written status report. Written status report must be submitted via email. A template will be provided by the Technical Authority.


Other Requirements:
-A minimum of 3 years of experience in analyzing and tuning existing Remedy systems to optimize application performances. -A minimum of 3 years of experience in writing SSH and Perl scripts to integrate with AR System. -Experience with development, testing and troubleshooting with Remedy Distributed Server Options. -Experience with development, testing and troubleshooting with Remedy email notification system. -Experience supporting, monitoring and managing Remedy Action Request Servers & Systems. -Experience in software development and maintenance in a government environment.

The ideal candidate will have::
  • experience in a minimum of 3 projects in the last 7 years developing custom built applications running on Remedy ARS (Action Request System) version 7.x. or higher for private and public sectors
  • a minimum of 3 years of experience in the last 7 years maintaining custom built applications running on Remedy ARS for private and public sectors.
  • experience in a minimum of 3 projects in the last 7 years designing and implementing major Remedy projects.
  • experience in a minimum of 3 projects in analyzing existing Remedy systems and integrating of new functionality into predefined frameworks
  • experience in a minimum of 3 projects in the last 5 years with loading external data into Remedy applications
  • experience in a minimum of 2 projects in the last 4 years with data analysis, verification, and cleanup.
  • a minimum of 2 years of experience in Oracle SQL
  • a minimum of 2 year of experience in Relational Database Design in an Oracle environment version 8i or higher
  • experience in a minimum of 3 projects in creating reports using Crystal Reports.
  • a minimum of 3 years of experience in building and maintaining Remedy applications for the web.
