Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a Technical Architect Level 3 for a contract position. Contract running from date of award to March 31, 2013 with two additional 1 year contract periods.

All candidates must possess Reliability Clearance.

The Technical Architect (Level 3) must perform, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

a) Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies for the OMS application, to meet the business and application requirements.
b) Perform software development and programming and maintenance of OMS components.
c) Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements.
d) Identify the policies and requirements that would determine the flow for a particular solution.
e) Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems.
f) Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions.
g) Develop installation programs


Other Requirements:
-Experience in excess of that outlined in mandatory criteria 1.8.b, programming with C and Windows Application Programming Interfaces (API). -Experience in excess of that outlined in mandatory criteria 1.8.c, with Microsoft Visual Basic (version 6) programming -Experience in excess of that outlined in mandatory criteria 1.8.d, programming with Microsoft VB.NET in conjunction with ASP.NET. - Experience in excess of that outlined in mandatory criteria 18.e, administering Oracle RDBMS (version 9 or higher). - Experience in excess of that outlined in mandatory criteria 1.8.h, building install programs with Wise.

The ideal candidate will have::
  • a minimum of five (5) years experience within the last 8 years of Internet/Intranet technology.
  • a minimum of four (4) years experience programming with C and Windows Application Programming Interfaces (API).
  • a minimum of five (5) years experience with Microsoft Visual Basic (version 6) programming
  • a minimum of three (3) years experience programming with Microsoft VB.NET and ASP.NET.
  • a minimum of four (4) years experience administering Oracle RDBMS (version 9 or higher)
  • a minimum of two (2) years experience integrating digital cameras into Windows based applications
  • a minimum of three (3) years Attachmate KEA macro programming
  • two (2) years experience building install programs with Wise.
  • a minimum of five (5) years experience programming with Visual Basic 6 in conjunction with ASP 2.0.
  • a minimum of three (3) years experience programming with Visual Basic .Net in conjunction with ASP .Net.
