Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a Project Manager for a one year contract position.

*Travel to Regina may be required

All candidates must possess Secret Clearance.


Project Manager
A. Required Services
The required services will usually be related to one or many of the following knowledge areas:
o Project Integration Management
o Project Scope Management
o Project Time Management
o Project Cost Management
o Project Quality Management
o Project Human Resource Management
o Project Communications Management
o Project Risk Management
o Project Procurement Management

Deliverables:

The required services will include, but are not limited to the following:
o Planning and coordinating project management activities including financial, planning and contracting aspects;
o Planning and organizing a project management office;
o Giving briefings on progress and concerns of project;
o Coordinating and preparing documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reports, returns and observations to
update management on project progress;
o Planning and coordinating the activities of project personnel, internal customers, contractors and other support providers;
o Preparing formal Statement of Work, work breakdown structure and compliance charts;
o Producing draft plans and sections for incorporation into the Project Implementation Plan or Request for Proposal;
o Preparing draft evaluation plans, criteria and evaluation schedules;
o Developing, planning, analyzing, evaluating and prioritizing deliverables and requirements.

The ideal candidate will have::

An undergraduate degree in any field from a recognized university -and- twenty-four (24) months of demonstrated project management experience, within the last sixty (60) months

Ten (10) years experience as a business analyst or project manager on projects that analyzed, planned and implemented business process solutions and associated information management tools

ten (10) years experience liaising with IM/IT teams on behalf of a department

ten (10) years experience providing procurement advice and preparing procurement products for complex professional services and infrastructure

experience in analyzing, planning and implementing information management tools and solutions

experience in liaising with IM/IT teams

experience in providing procurement advice and preparing procurement products for complex professional services and infrastructure
