Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a Database Administrator, Level 2 for a one year contract position. With two additional 1 year optional extension periods.
All candidates must possess Reliability Clearance.
The Contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of work:
• Become familiar with the OEE Housing Database
• Become familiar with the applications and software supporting the OEE housing database (payment module, security module, mailbot, HOT2000)
• Develop and implement an improved testing system for the aforementioned database, software and applications including both automated and manual testing components (if required) and test cases (if required)
• Test the aforementioned database, software and applications
• Modify the design and implementation of the testing system as necessary to reflect deficiencies discovered while implementing the improved testing system
• Provide documentation for the improved testing system
• Analysis of database updates
• Deployment of database updates and server applications
• Provide support for the above tools, programs and systems
Other Requirements:
-The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience developing database and software testing tools and procedures including automated systems
-The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience in methodology-based testing.
-The proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years experience with Oracle and SQL.
-The proposed resource has a minimum of two (2) projects working with issue tracking software.
-The proposed resource has a minimum of three (3) projects using SQL and Oracle.
-The proposed resource has a minimum of three (3) projects using Java.
-The proposed resource has a minimum of two (2) projects working with source control software.
-The proposed resource has a minimum of three (3) projects using various software and database testing tools.
-The propose resource has project experience working with Oracle 10g.
-The proposed resource has experience working with T.O.A.D. or similar DB tools.
-The proposed resource has experience working with SQL*Plus.
