Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a Programmer Analyst Level 3 for a contract position. Contract running from date of award to March 31, 2013, with two additional optional 1 year periods.

All candidates must possess Reliability Clearance.

The Programmer/Analyst (Level 3) must perform, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

a) Create and modify code and software.
b) Create and modify screens and reports.
c) Perform systems analysis, designing, data modeling, developing, testing and writing of user and technical documentation.
d) Translate business requirements into systems design and specifications.
e) Produce forms, manuals, programs, data files, and procedures for systems and/or applications.

The ideal candidate will have::
  • a minimum of three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years performing system analysis, designing, data modeling, developing, testing and writing of user and technical documentation
  • a minimum of two (2) years working experience with the HP ALPHA/AXP series of mini computers, using VMS or OpenVMS (version 6.2 or higher) operating system environments
  • a minimum of two (2) years experience performing systems development/programming work using the Oracle RDBMS (version 9 or higher)
  • a minimum of five (5) years experience programming with Visual Basic 6 in conjunction with ASP 2.0
  • a minimum of five (5) years experience programming with Visual Basic .Net/ASP .Net or Java.
  • experience performing systems analysis, designing, data modeling, developing, testing and writing of user and technical documentation
  • experience performing systems development/programming work using the Oracle RDBMS (version 9 or higher).
  • experience programming with Visual Basic 6 in conjunction with ASP 2.0
  • experience Programming with Visual Basic .Net/ASP .Net or Java
