Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a Project Manager Level 3 for a contract position. Contract running from date of award to March 31, 2013 with two additional 1 year contract periods.

All candidates must possess Reliability Clearance.

The Project Managers (Level 3) must perform, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

a) Supporting Application Development Projects, involving all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
b) Applying Business Process Reengineering techniques.
c) Write OMS documentation.
d) Produce and maintain resource loaded project plans.
e) Analyze progress against plans and provide integrated project status reports.
f) Record decisions/action logs and ensure actions are followed up and executed by tem members.
g) Coordinate project activities.

The ideal candidate will have::
  • a minimum of 10 years experience in Application Development Projects, involving all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • a minimum of two (2) years experience with Business Process Reengineering techniques
  • a minimum of seven (7) years experience with the writing of system documentation
  • a minimum of eight (8) years experience managing a team of no less than 5 members.
  • a minimum of seven (7) years experience utilizing configuration management practices
  • a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
  • experience with Business Process Reengineering techniques
  • experience managing a team of no less than 5 members
  • experience utilizing configuration management practices
