Job Description:
Our Ottawa based government client is seeking a Project Manager for a long term contract (1 year with a 1 year option).
To be considered candidates must be TOP SECRET cleared.
The Project Manager will undertake the following tasks to provide service for in-service and new implementations of RDIMS:
- Prepare and submit to the TA plan of activities using Microsoft Project 2000, no later than five (5) working days after beginning the contract, showing a detailed schedule of all activities, for review and approval by the TA. The schedule will provide, as a minimum, a detailed breakdown of all proposed activities associated with the contract, including schedules for deliverables;
- Prepare RDIMS implementation strategy document and framework for submission to Senior Management;
- Prepare and confirm project plan, schedule and resource plans on a monthly basis to Senior Management;
- Collect and review data for RDIMS planning and preparation activities;
- Assess order of roll-out of RDIMS for client organizations;
- Set priorities and track progress of deployment;
- Liaise directly with the RDIMS Team to coordinate RDIMS implementations;
- Liaise with IM personnel to determine business requirements that are technically associated with RDIMS software;
- provide process guidance to the RDIMS Team, Trainers, and Divisional Implementation Coordinators;
- Prepare project documentation, including options analysis, business cases, communication plans, risk assessment documents and status reports;
- Prepare other documents including presentations, communications to regional contacts or national announcements or both;
- Coordinate and conduct client communications and change management activities;
- Assess associated risks and bring them to the attention of the TA; and
- Provide input, feedback and requirements to the TA and RDIMS Team on Management of Recorded Information (MoRI) policies, standards and guidelines, to sustain RDIMS deployment.

The ideal candidate will have::
10 years experience working as a Project Managerexperience as a Project Manager in a development or operational document management environmentexperience as a Project Manager for an RDIMS implementation/rollout in a government department or agency, with the RDIMS core applications which consists of Hummingbird DM, and least one (1) of the following: ForeMost RM, iRIMS RM, and/or Hummingbird RMa minimum of 5 years experience within the last 10 years as a Business Analyst dealing with Information management portfolioexperience in change management/business transformation principles, methodologies, and strategies with respect to implementation activities in the context of RDIMS.Demonstrated experience with Government of Canada (GC) RDIMS Implementation on a minimum of 4 projects with a duration of more than 12 months full time equivalent as a Project Manager, Implementation Manager, or Business Analystdemonstrated experience applying Government of Canada (GC) policy, legislation and directives in the area of the Management of Recorded Informationdemonstrated experience presenting IM/IT related issues to Senior Management
