Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a Project Manager (Army Consolidated Service Desk) resource for a 1 year contract position.
All candidates must possess Secret clearance.
Tasks:
The Army Consolidated Service Desk (ACSD) is a centrally located web based Army wide application providing incident management, service request management, problem management, and inventory management to multiple service desks across Canada.
The Project Manager will be responsible to perform two (2) distinct functions: manage the current instance of ACSD using Service Desk Express (SDE) and plan/execute the migration of the project to the DND wide solution using Assyst.
Current Instance of ACSD based on SDE:
ACSD Classified Domain (ACSD-CD)
a) Complete the roll-out onto the Classified Domain as required;
b) Finalize ACSD Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Concept of Operations (Conops); and
c) Finalize the implementation of reports and performance measurements processes.
ACSD Designated
a) Manage the current system day-to-day; and
b) Plan, coordinate and implement new/on-going users requirements.
ACSD Migration to Assyst:
a) Complete the collection of user requirements;
b) In conjunction with ADM(IM), plan and coordinate the development, test and implementation of the system;
c) Plan and execute the migration of existing army databases;
d) Plan and execute user training across the army;
e) Supervise the production of ACSD SOPs; and
f) Plan and implement the on-going system support before handing the system over to the system manager.

The ideal candidate will have::
have experience with DND/CF governance structure, organizations, policies and procedures.experience with DND/CF IT infrastructure and IT support services as gained through experience in the Land Force Command Support or IT environmentexperience in the planning of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Services (as per ITILĀ® best practices); in particular in developing and implementing concepts, processes and proceduresexperience as a Project Manager within the last 5 years in the delivery of IT projects that involved 500 or more users over multiple geographically separated locations in several provinces/jurisdictionsexperience in the preparation of the following project documentation: Project Implementation Plans, Statement of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreement (SLAs).experience having either worked in, supported or managed the operation of an IT Service Desk, Help Desk or Call Centerexperience in the two applications: Assyst and SDEexperience working with both the DND classified and designated Information system domains
