Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is seeking a Project Manager (Capability Development) for a one year contract position.

All candidates must possess secret clearance.

TASKS:

Project Manager (Capability Development)
a) Directorate business planning (SORD/SORP/Level 3 Business Plans);
b) Business process re-engineering (organizations, structures, processes);
c) Staff support to Command Support governance bodies, Command Support Working Group (CSWG) and G6 Conference;
d) Project management support (scheduling, costing (estimates and budgets), coordinating, monitoring) for discrete projects; and
e) Assistance in preparation of staff papers/proposals/studies

The ideal candidate will have::
  • have experience with the DND/CF governance structure, organizations, policies and procedures.
  • experience with the DND/CF IT infrastructure and IT support services as gained through experience in the Land Force Command Support or IT environment
  • experience as a Project Manager within the last 5 years prior to bid closing in the delivery of IT projects valued at $250K or more
  • experience in the planning of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Services (as per ITIL® best practices); in particular in developing and implementing concepts, processes and procedures
  • experience in the preparation of Project documentation such as Project Implementation Plans, Statements of Work, schedules, et cetera
